Brittany Ferries have launched a deposit scheme meaning from next year passengers will be able to book a crossing on any of the eight Brittany Ferry routes from the UK to France and Spain for a relatively small £25 deposit. The firm believes that booking now will mean passengers will be able to secure the most convenient sailings and the best fares with nothing to pay until 46 days before departure.
This could be great for families who want to secure a holiday now and at the same time means they can be careful with their cash flow too. Brittany Ferries Group Commercial Director, Mike Bevens said: “We are well aware that families are feeling the economic pinch and money is in short supply. Therefore, asking for just a small deposit and requesting full payment a few weeks before departure means customers can secure the holiday they want now and at the same time help their cash flow. With almost all transport companies now insisting on full payment at the time of booking, we believe this measure will be appreciated.” It certainly sounds like a good deal, especially if you have plans to go anywhere by ferry shortly.
If you are planning on making arrangements to go away to France or Spain, either on holiday or on business, the deposit scheme is certainly well worth looking into as it could not only help your financial situation, it could also mean you get better seats than you anticipated and even better dates too.
